Nothing like your own union’s hat. These things are friggin’ genius. Our last two strikes were in winter (in New England) when you’re wearing jackets over your union drip, so having a union beanie is tops. 10/10 no notes. Solidarity with my union bros & sis in the auto industry!

Fidel style Cuban communist hat. Comfy, fits my honkin’ melon, nice hat. Just a little on the flimsy side. 8/10

Getting into the top tier. Partido de Trabalhadores (PT). When a union man like Lula is in charge you know you’re talking quality. Like this hat a lot, but could be deeper. 7/10

Industrial Workers of the World. Decent hat, decent fit, but fits me weirdly. 6/10 fine hat

Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela makes a real nice lid. It fits all the way around my head, and really nice quality. But this time it’s not circumference that’s the problem, it’s depth. Barely sits on my forehead. 6/10

MST gets a second bite at the apple with this hat they gave me for participating in their #ToComMST solidarity campaign. Clearly meant to be a giveaway for an external audience, it fits pretty decently. But it’s made out of some sort of paper and it feels like it might melt if it gets rained on.4/10

Next up, Convenio Integral de Cooperación Cuba-Venezuela. This one fits my head in theory but the front two panels are too small so it sticks up above my head. Turns out two countries under a punishing blockade also don’t have super high quality stitching for some reason. 3/10

Starting with the bottom tier, Movimento dos Trabalhadores Ruraies sem Terra (MST). 1/10 cannot even fit this hat on with the snap back completely undone. MST do better
