Not so good that you got everything else wrong!

You got one thing right - that you don't understand British politics!
November 18, 2025 at 1:15 PM
I guess we'll have to wait and see who's correct.

The vast majority of the electorate sits politically between the xenophobes & the more progressive left. That's the body of voters that decides elections.

I think we have to acknowledge that a majority of the UK public were demanding action on securing our borders. After today's announcements, a Starmer poll bounce wouldn't surprise me.

Those claiming that Labour are no different from Reform really haven't a clue. No way would Reform ever consider joining PEM. Ok, Labour have hardened their immigration policies, but there's a chasm between the parties on social issues, welfare, the economy, trade and international alignments.

On the contrary, Reform have had their legs cut from under them. As Denmark has proven, a left of centre party can retain power by hardening immigration policies without having to leave the ECHR. The risk of Reform winning & destroying our NHS & other vital public services has diminished.

Bet you take a bit more care with your posts in future though! 😉
Have a good day

No, I just think that if you call a policy "shameful" when you actually mean most of it, but not all of it, you should make that clear.
November 17, 2025 at 12:40 PM
So the introduction of safe & legal routes is still "shameful". Really?
November 17, 2025 at 11:02 AM
I assume you're not referring to the safe & legal routes to the UK that will be introduced?
November 17, 2025 at 10:41 AM
The 20 year rule would only apply to new arrivals and there will be opportunities to switch to work or study visas.

December 1984. His two late goals to beat Oxford 2-1. Unforgettable.

Comparing Corbyn & Starmer votes is pointless. Tactical voting dominated the last election, disguising the true extent of support for Labour.

Don't pretend to know me and please stop misrepresenting my views. I appreciate you have an emotional involvement so no hard feelings. I genuinely wish you and your partner the best. Bye.
November 15, 2025 at 3:59 PM
No I wouldn't. I think you need to re-read the thread and better understand what Labour are proposing.
November 15, 2025 at 3:49 PM
Totally irrelevant nonsense 🙄
November 15, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Hey, you brought your partner into the thread, not me!
