We got 1.85 inches of rain in the last 24 hours here in Slidell and now have 3.53 inches for the month and 47.19 inches for the year. It has rained 6 days so far this month and 110 days so far this year.

The low temp so far this morning in Slidell is 56 F. Yesterday's high temp was 87 F. The low temp yesterday morning was 55 F. This region is currently listed as being in a D1 Moderate Drought.

Got up early here in Slidell so I could see the comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon which is south of Ursa Major - The Big Dipper. You can barely see it with regular binoculars and I didn't see much of a tail with it. But I did see it.

It's currently 61 F which is our coolest morning so far this October 2025.

This is the official end of South Carolina beach season anyway and the start of the Autumn Flood Season. At least they may see the beaches erode away Monday night and Tuesday and maybe some flooding at the King Tides Oct 06-12.
