With regards to the supposed smear campaign, I don't see any evidence of it happening. PR companies doing their job, yes. Is their job gross, yes. But based on the evidence, the negativity against Lively happened because of her promotion of a domestic violence movie, belittling the very real harm...

First off, Women are treated terribly when they speak out against abusive men, 100%. Secondly, doing what you're doing and calling me a misogynist for having a differing opinion based on the facts of the matter is doing so much harm to feminism and equal rights.

The executive producer credit was given because of this. She was only hired as an actress for the role.

I'm not saying she is lying, I think it's more exaggerating the facts but it is very clear that she is a mediocre actress and the facts line up with her likely making a power grab and using an abuse narrative to take control of someone else's movie.
