Looking forward to seeing you then. And if there’s a new Die Kitty Die book, I’ll be picking that up.

Was hoping to see you at the Big Apple Con tomorrow, but I’ve read enough Archie stories to know that scheduling conflicts happen.

The O’Neil/Adams Green Lantern/Green Arrow

I got one.

I’m almost certainly in the minority here, but I love the anything goes, the dumber the better attitude of DC’s humor books. Angel and the Ape, Inferior 5, Bob Hope w/Superhip, Stanley and his Monster…

Or a Lovecraft/Natalie Schafer cage match.

I feel as though there should be a comic strip somewhere that has two dinosaurs talking about how silly all this renumbering is.

Ironically, I started going to this one because my last dentist stopped taking my insurance. It’s too bad because I really liked this one. He was a good dentist and was just around the corner from my apartment.

My guess is that this Gwen Stacy will turn out to be one of the Jackal’s clones or something, will die at the end of the story, and Gwen Poole will make some fourth wall breaking comment about how Gwen Stacys always die.

This just happened to me. When I went to my dentist (After too long, which he chewed me out for), he told me that he didn’t take my insurance anymore. Luckily, he’s a good guy so he saw me one last time. I looked in the directory for a new dentist and his was the first name to come up.

That sounds more like Galactus. Ignoring things just isn’t Doom’s way. Reacting to something with a monologue about why reacting to it would be beneath him sounds more like his style.

Besides, that’s the was Ben talks to everyone. Would Stretcho, Suzie, and Matchhead let anyone else call them that?
January 24, 2025 at 3:43 AM
Ben definitely calls him that and Vic lets him. This is why I think that, deep down, Vic doesn’t really want to kill the Fantastic Four, he wants to be buddies with them.

This is NYC, so I guess you could find 400 people who’d be into a 5 hour poetry reading.
January 19, 2025 at 4:46 AM
A five and a half hour long poetry reading with dance interludes? I think you might get in.
January 18, 2025 at 4:39 AM
I didn’t know about it. Might be interesting

He’s 78, obese and lives on McDonalds. I don’t see him making it through his term. Not tha I’m hoping for his death, br if he lives longer than my mom did, I’ll have one more reason to doubt the existence of God.
January 18, 2025 at 3:18 AM
But if you use that for laughing, what do you put on your cartoon bottles of poison?

The internet was best back in the days of Usenet, irc, and Geocities, when it was all about celebrating your weird interests and finding your tribe.

If old stuff I found online counts, the The Beatles’ Cartoon but I don’t think a rousing version of A Hard Day’s Night would save me. If it doesn’t count, then Superman and Lois, so I’m good.

It’d be pretty funny if the UK banned Musk as a potential terrorist, then banned Trump because he’s a convicted felon, then banned JD Vance just for laughs.

I never got why this seems so implausible to people. She raised him and was essentially his mother. If you’re offered more time with your mother before she dies, you don’t do a cost-benefit analysis.

I didn’t talk to him, but he was at a couple of conventions I went to, and he just exudes a sleazy vibe, as though he turned into the Bob Kane of his story. I also overheard him telling someone at the convention how much he hated Gretchen Whitmer.

Thank you

During his first run, I referred to him as the Moscovian Candidate
