No worries. The “Willesden Lane” caption on the old image threw me for a bit, but a change of name for the road was the logical explanation. Although I hadn’t previously known that a big chunk of Willesden Lane had been renamed. Live and learn 🙂

The “now” photo is Willesden High Road, not Willesden Lane. But looking at a 1900 map for the area does show that Willesden Lane ran from Kilburn High Road to St Mary’s Church (which is visible in the background). So it’s the right location. I wonder when and why part of Willesden Lane was renamed!?
