Rexy! The best car.

It wouldn’t have been a Detroit Auto Show weekend without cold temps and slushy snow. The Infiniti QX80 handled it all with comfort and grace — plus a killer stereo. I really quite like this SUV.

Finally got around to finishing Nonbinary, the memoir of Genesis P-Orridge. Tales of art, music, drugs, love, gender, and nonconformity told through their unique voice. Super good.

These thirsty Tumi ads with Lando sure are something. The chessboard, the boots. Looks like a nice suitcase, though.

Look, I love the Volvo V90 Cross Country, but whyyyyy would you ever spec one with 21-inch wheels and P Zero tires?

Well, this is unexpected.

Some very good driving today.

If you never hear from me again it’s because Krampus murdered me while I was sleeping in this Sprinter in the Alps.

Please enjoy these four new Manufaktur colors that will be available for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

Silverado EV RST 👎👎. It has great range, good power, and the midgate and Super Cruise are cool. But it rides like trash, handles horribly, you can’t see out of it (mirrors are useless), and the interior is so, so cheap. Absolutely not worth $95K. Maybe a cheaper trim will be better.

Some drives are more fun than others.

Thank god, now I can officially bring my love and remembrance for the Dads Inn (RIP) to Bluesky.

Also, you may now refer to me by my stage name, Booster Green.

A Mexican journalist on the WCA jury brought up this mild-hybrid Suzuki Swift for testing. Kinda fun to toss around, though the NVH needs work. Reminds me of the old Scion xD in a weird way.

Also drove the Kia EV3, which we will get in the US, but not until 2026. It’s like a “honey, I shrunk the EV9.” Great to drive and lots of interior space despite its size.

The thing I love most about World Car Awards judging is getting to drive interesting not-for-US cars on my local roads. Like, check out this adorable Hyundai Inster (aka Casper)! It’s tiny and electric and I want to pinch its cheeks.

Every time I drive a Lucid Air Sapphire I’m just like… god DAMN. What a car.

New Taycan GTS in an EXTREMELY good spec. Nordic Gold — sorry, Nordicgoldmetallic — FTW. Driving impressions coming next week.

Drove the super pretty 2.0L Emira this weekend. The chassis and steering are excellent, but the AMG 4-cyl is laggy, buzzy, and coarse. The turbo woosh sounds behind my head are cool. Still, give me that supercharged V6/manual any day.

Making the most of Bluesky by posting this for @emarquis.bsky.social and no one else.

Drove the Lotus Eletre this week in Norway. Can’t talk about how it drives until July 10, but I will say, the design is… a lot. The black/carbon aero wheels don’t really help. But at least all those scoops and ducts are functional. Interior is good, too.
