I've been quiet but working hard. I'm now taking bigger steps when walking and can even take a few steps without the cane; and I'm now able to write very slowly, use a fork or spoon, and floss my teeth. Long way to go still, but some small victories. It's been almost 5 months. #strokesurvivor

When I go out with ankle brace, knee brace and arm sling on, so many people ask me what happened, and I always sense disappointment when I tell them it was a stroke. I think I'll start saying it was from roof hopping.

I’ve been quiet on here but I have an excuse: I had a #stroke! Now at home and busy with #rehab, but I’m also back online (and it’s a lifeline for me especially now…).

After accidentally activating our living room Alexa umpteen times when all I meant to do was talk ABOUT her, I now refer to her in the third person as "Dingbat" and find that oddly satisfying.

For the first time I can recall in this century, a car passed me last night blasting Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" with the windows down. If that song is "retro cool" now I am concerned

I bought a 3-pack of cucumbers a couple of weeks ago and just today finished the last one before they could go bad. I feel like I deserve a sticker or something!

I'm so fortunate to get to make music with these amazing people!
Our "exhale" concert this past weekend was an incredible experience for us all. Here's the moving finale: "Hands" (Jocelyn Hagen) -- soloists Tessa Short and Jeremy Rutledge, choreography Meredith Kalaman. Enjoy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwzz...

As a clue into my personality this would have been my dream job had my life matched this time period. So very interesting.
Tomorrow, Brill turns a sprightly 342 years old! Here's a fascinating glimpse into the typesetting process the press used in the 1970s, allowing it to print in nearly 30 non-Latin alphabets – including Arabic, Coptic, Syriac, Ethiopian, Sanskrit, Chinese and Japanese. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gqwe...

I feel blessed by the universe to have grown up during the late 70s & early 80s and been shaped by so much amazing music. Today's backdrop to morning coffee is The Fixx's Reach the Beach LP.

For the record, I will continue limiting myself to the $29 earbuds until my compulsion to run them through the laundry abates.

The wonderful words one learns reading the daily news in another language: “papable” (in Spanish; “papabile” in Italian) = suitable to be considered for the position of pope.

Oh MY, we are excited about our upcoming "Exhale" concert on May 24 - to say we've been holding our breath since "Inhale" last fall is only exaggerating a little. 🙃And we're partnering with our friends at Choirs for Change to make that weekend a double header for those interested: /2 🧵

Definitely feels like spring seeing the 2nd cruise ship of the season already. (I am not referring to the ferry also pictured. 🛥️) #Halifax

The Roman amphitheatre in Verona is actually older than Colosseum, dating back to AD 30. It is a "working" UNESCO World Heritage Site, with 22,000 seats every summer for opera. The summer opera season started in 1913. It was used for Diodato's 2020 video. #RomanSiteSaturday

Every #ABC album was different but this was their best. Their image during this phase was utterly manufactured and they were too clever to care. Effortlessly cool tracks include "Tower of London" and "So Hip It Hurts." #HowToBeAZillionaire #1985 #vinyl
