⚽ Analysis and Methodology

Formerly: Real Madrid, Inter Miami, Dinamo Tbilisi, La Liga, CONCACAF
For example, here you can see attached part of my project where I decided to filter for coaches based on key aspects that are associated with success in the game today based on research which are:

- Penalty Area Entries
- Pressing
- Final 3rd Possession Wins

🔵 PSG vs Bayern Munich

PSG dominated (74% possession, 86.5% field tilt) but couldn’t break Bayern’s compact defensive block (20.7 PPDA).

PSG's pass network shows isolated wingers and limited central support.

Across 90 minutes, a single chance or moment can change a whole game and its result regardless of performance.

🔴 Liverpool vs Real Madrid

Liverpool had 37% possession, but 42% field tilt — suggesting their time on the ball was used more effectively and in more dangerous areas

In these situations, it’s hard to tell if you’re solving a problem — or just applying a band-aid.
📊 Case Study: Juventus & Igor Tudor

Facts:

🔃Update!

I have slightly refreshed the UI of my League Table tracker today, but more importantly added STAB beside each team. A score based on the Mean Absolute Change of each team's league position matchday to matchday to essentially measure the variance/stability of their league position.

Joey Veerman – 26 – 🇳🇱 – PSV – €20M–30M xTV Adem Zorgane – 25 – 🇩🇿 – Union SG – €5M–7.5M xTV
Malik Tillman – 23 – 🇺🇸 – Leverkusen – €50M–75M xTV Maxence Caqueret – 25 – 🇫🇷 – Como – €15M–20M xTV

I plotted xA per Touch vs Possession Wins per 1000 Opp Touches to analyse in and out of possession effectiveness. However, CMs have varying roles in each game model and these can be very specific for which data has to be tailored to.

🇦🇷Nico Paz has been one of the best players so far this season in Serie A. Even with a lower passing quantity + quality overall compared to other MFs in Serie A, his impact in terms of creation, progression and even shooting has been almost second to none in the league.

Today, Ousmane Dembele won the #BallonDor after close competition from players such as Lamine Yamal, Raphina and Mo Salah.

👇Screenshots of the 4 players' performance dashboards last season (24/25) based on my web app.

This is definitely not the standard of Manchester United, a club that continues to fail relative to their standards. After coming off their worst ever season in years, 2025/26 has started once again very bleak with Amorim's job under threat.

🎯🇪🇸 Of course it's very early, but so far Cristhian Mosquera has been one of the main topics in Arsenal circles so far after his €15 million transfer from Valencia.
September 18, 2025 at 1:48 AM
Data shows he's almost the complete winger, ranking in the 91st pctile for dribbling & passing, 84th for crossing, 80th for progression. He ranks high in defending (76th) and I 100% expect his shooting to improve from the 16th percentile this season, even compared to all FWs.

🇹🇷Kenan Yildiz has been one of the talks of the 25/26 season so far. Being mentioned along names such as Doue, Yamal and Dembele.... and with the start to the season he has had of course.

With the 2026 World Cup draw around the corner in December, prepare to be surprised. This World Cup might be one of the most intense, unbalanced and for some unfair, lucky or unlucky World Cups we’ve seen group-wise.

The attached graph shows just how massive the disparity is in this area, and that gap only continues to grow.

The Athletic’s The Future of Football podcast — Is the Premier League’s dominance a problem? — is a must-listen with a comprehensive on- and off-the-field discussion of the current football ecosystem. It dives not only into the business side but also football operations.

More risky imo, but still a risk. Attached is his pizza chart for his time at Sociedad, which does show a high level of shooting. I don't have is xTV for that time to compare it to. But Wolte. had an xG of 2.4 in 23/24 and over performed his xG by around 2 last season.

Parma's Benja Cremaschi, one of the most recent MLS exports to Europe. A talented player with huge potential, above average creator, dribbler and passer according to the data when compared with other MFs in Europe's Top 5 Leagues. Excited to see his progress.
September 9, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Today, news broke that Nick Woltemade is on the verge for signing for Newcastle at €85 million fixed fee plus €5 million in add-ons. However, based on the data his xTV from TransferRoom is around 20 - 30 million. That is a massive gap between the xTV and the suggested fee.

🔎Taking a look at 3 transfers so far in the 2025 Summer Market. Who got the best deal?

🇫🇷 Hugo Etikite ➡️ Liverpool for €91m vs €50-75m xTV
🇨🇲 Bryan Mbeumo ➡️ Man United for €80m vs €30-40m xTV
🇬🇧 Marcus Rashford ➡️ Barcelona on loan with €30 m buy option vs €20-30m xTV

Inzaghi's Inter are a defense focused team (96th percentile) who still do very well to maintain possession (93rd percentile, 91st field tilt). While unlike PSG they are very strong on set pieces, and crosses/aerial play - which is a key area where the game could be won.
May 30, 2025 at 11:06 AM
Looking at the teams, based on data, PSG are one of the strongest possession based teams in Europe this season - 99th percentile of passing and retention and 97th for Field Tilt. While their defense is strong in the 88th percentile, through their pressing (100th percentile)
