I think Democrats are are kind of waiting and hoping for an opening that will allow them to pile on Trump and drive his popularity lower. I think strategically it makes some sense because right now, it does feel like he’s implausibly popular.

It’s possible but that would be more practical in swing districts instead of heavily Democratic ones.
