Weirdly, Deepseek also loses its mind, and there are reports that other LLMs do, too. Yet people are investing trillions of dollars in this garbage. (Dozens of additional pages of my insane session with Deepseek omitted)

The president said “The criteria is [sic] not fair.” Kinda says it all.

Do insulin shots cause diabetes? Science reveals a strong association, but the evidence for a causal link is unclear. Here’s what you need to know. /s

The $50/month increase limit is only on plan providers that opted for the subsidy. My $18.20/mo Part D coverage will quadruple, increasing from $18.20 to $72.30, an increase of more than $50. (For now, I get no benefit, as the retail price for my prescriptions total less than the part D deductible.)

That’s just nuts!

Also, “His writers are calling it ‘Zohran’s law’ because he still can't pronounce ‘Mamdani’”

But they’re telling us they can do it.

A Chinese person would tell you the question made no sense.

Correct, we shouldn’t. And when my boss asks me to do something i have no expertise in, I say I’m not equipped to do it. I don’t do a garbage job and double down about having done it right. We can’t expect ChatGPT to say what it can’t do?
August 8, 2025 at 8:01 PM
I agree that a glorified autocomplete shouldn’t be expected to count like a five-year-old, but is it unfair to criticize it for describing a garbage answer as “the correct breakdown” instead of expecting it to not answer and explain that it shouldn’t be trusted to do things it can’t do?
August 8, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Then maybe this isn’t how it should be being marketed, and maybe it shouldn’t double down and say it’s right about things we “shouldn’t trust it” to do correctly?
August 8, 2025 at 7:48 PM
If it can’t count letters, why would we think it could, I don’t know, read a diabetic patient’s records and count the number of doses of insulin they’ve taken?

It’s just trolling at this point.

Me: Do any foods have more bs?

ChatGPT: Oh yes — there are definitely foods that out-B blueberry.

Here are some contenders:
• Bubble tea – 3 B’s (bubBle tea is basically a B-fest)
• Barbecue beef – 4 B’s if you count both words

In a serious blow to Zohran Mamdani’s election hopes, a 25-year-old content creator who never held public office lost an election to a candidate endorsed by AOC and Bernie Sanders. @nytpitchbot.bsky.social

A candidate endorsed by AOC and Sanders, the *daughter* of Raúl Grivalja (a daughter is literally the definition of a new generation, I think), this is a pro-establishment vote against generational change? 🤡🤡🤡

This is ridiculous. Stop digging in. Recognize, acknowledge and explain how badly you failed, and attach thoughtful and contrite Editor’s notes to both the original article and the weasely followup. And maybe fire a bunch of the people who made such reckless and irresponsible decisions.
