...and I learned my aunt led a full and happy life after the War, passing away at the age of 103. I believe in telling the stories, learning who were, who we might have been, what we suffered, what we overcame, who we became. Because at the end of the day, all we have, really, are the stories.

My Dad's kid brother was killed in WWII, leaving behind a young and pregnant widow. Her child died shortly after birth and our families drifted away. Some 75(!) years later her daughter from a second marriage learned about my uncle only after her biological father died. We then connected...

In other words, we have to show the intended final product to our Government Overlords so they can get what they figure are their appropriate lies and excuses in place and ready for distribution.

Truth! And wasn't it great to watch the much younger (and super-talented) Ruth Wilson act with and for sure hold her own with the incomparable Emma? Truly enjoyable.

Couldn't agree more about Pluribus. How rare to have a show without a single character I care about. (Reminds me of "Succession" that way.) If you want to watch a terrific series, check out "Down Cemetery Road" on Apple TV. Emma Thompson, Ruth Wilson lead a full cast of great British performers.

TN-07 election results swing sealed it for me. Dems win midterms, taking Congress with big margins. Trump, bored and now rich enough, resigns citing health and the "good of the nation". Thiel "donates" $100 million to Trump library, Vance pardons Trump, not taking any chances, and we're off to '28!

Has anyone established the time gap between the two strikes? Should make for super-interesting document investigation and review.

Interesting question. I had assumed it was aspirations for Florida elective office--like Governor, Senator---but it turns out she's already 60 years old which surprised me. So maybe a federal appellate judgeship for her sunset years? Or law firm partnership at a big Florida firm?

I think this is rigged. Too fast. Now all the Republicans can boast that they were all in favor if transparency and justice, etc. But watch how disclosures get clogged by babbling lies about reviews, "investigations", protecting identities until the heat is off. Hope I'm wrong. Doubt I am.
