I’m so grateful to my donor, who I hope to meet in person some day, my wife and family for their support, my employer for providing such good health insurance, the teams at MaineHealth, Dana Farber, Brigham and Women’s hospital and the relentless research going on to bring about results like mine.

One year later the DNA of my blood is 100% hers, I continue to heal and get stronger and I’ve returned to doing normal things like splitting firewood, going on vacation and looking forward to retirement next year.
