In the bleak mid-winter, apparently! Very active wall lizards on Durston Castle today. Firecrest on path back to Swanage was a pleasure.

Don't usually post,but have to say thanks to fellow people who stopped and help contain the flames near slepe heath, also thanks to the St Aldhams birders for the very brief fly by wryneck. Wte Eagle 1, redstart 1, whinchat 2, wheatear 3, we're the best from pm hartlandmoor.

Was beginning to think female Cuckoos were invisible, but finally got one today perched quietly in a tree at scotland farm!

Saturday morning walk around Durston cp no bee eater but a singing Grasshopper warbler and a close daytime Barn owl was a good substitute.

Vist to Arne today, 2 whimbrel, sandwich terns a flying by cuckoo and Dartford Warblers were the pick of the usual suspects.

Late am vist to St Aldhams HD, common Whitethroat numerous, 1 corn bunting was the best of the usual suspects. Hartlandmoor pm produced wheatear x2 femail, Dartford Warbler.
