Part of a team building WordPress publishing plugins with over 1 million users: PublishPress, Metaslider, TaxoPress, and Logtivity.
So you have a WordPress site with a ton of content. It's a real pain to keep it clean and remove stale posts.

Would this help?
- You add an "Remove" tag to a post.
- The post is automatically deleted after 12 months.
- You get an email when it happens.

Akshat from WP Remote has got his team to the point where they're using AI to write 99% of some new projects.

How did his team become so good at AI? By taking a top-down approach, or by allowing his team to vibe code?

Plain English. It's really hard. We've been trying to use simpler English.

We updated the PublishPress Revisions plugin with new text:

- Before: Revision Queue
- After: New Revisions

- Before: Revision Archive
- After: Past Revisions

Simpler. And hopefully more helpful.

Akshat Choudhary came on the PublishPress podcast and talked about the joy of building a beautiful product.

Not products, plural.

Not spreading yourself too thin.

Focusing on one thing (like his WP Remote platform) and enjoying the craft of building it.

My wife really doesn't like the background I use for podcasts (a couple of bookshelves, her desk).

Now I look, most people have equally random backgrounds.

Anyone have a recommendation for a better approach? Do you have a great look for your podcast room?

Have you used WP Remote, Blog Vault, or MalCare on your WP sites?

Probably yes, but you likely don't know the man behind those projects: Akshat Choudary. He's a shy guy, but his company does awesome work.

He's leaning into AI right now. 99% of the new WP Remote redesign was all built with AI 🤯

I didn't realize this would be an issue, but the last release of Metaslider Pro increased from 4.98 MB to 5.08 MB.

Now several cheap hosting companies are saying the plugin is too large to upload. Several are asking their customers to fix it by modifying the php.ini file 😬

I love the new "Auto Insert Blocks" feature in the PublishPress Blocks plugin.

I can save a group of blocks and then just automatically insert it in all the posts with a specific category.

For example, I can quickly add a "Podcast" block to all posts in the "Podcast" category:

We're rolling out a helpful new feature on our site:
- Create a promo for a plugin. For example, "PublishPress Authors"
- Automatically add it as the footer at the bottom of all posts with the "PublishPress Authors" category

All done with Reusable Blocks which I honestly love 😍

I asked Karim @marucchi.com about the early days of WordPress. He told me that one person was hugely responsible for getting enterprise users to adopt WordPress. Alex King was the founder of the Crowd Favorite agency, and was a pioneer in getting publishers on to WordPress.

@marucchi.com came on the PublishPress podcast and we talked about the CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) that's coming to Europe next year.

The goal of the CRA can be summed up with a simple question: "Do you know where your software is coming from?"

You can create these styles using our "Style Builder". It's all no-code. You can use color pickers for everything.

This is free for everyone in the PublishPress Blocks plugin: wordpress.org/plugins/adva...

We just released something really cool for the WordPress block editor.

You can just create your own styles for any block.

For example, I want some blocks with the purple 🟣and yellow🟡 of the PublishPress band. That's super-easy.

He's worked with some of the biggest agencies and businesses in the world.

How did @marucchi.com get his big break?

By pitching Steve Jobs on a movie website that used 8 HTML pages and some animated GIFs.

Europeans: "Can you add a few more details to our invoice, please?"

@marucchi.com is helping the launch the FAIR Project.

Karim's helped some of the largest companies in the world move to WordPress. Those companies love the control and ownership that WordPress provides.

Here's why FAIR is another step forward for us, and them ⬇️

There's a lot more going on in the Fediverse than just micro-blogging.

Evan Prodromou is often called the "Father of the Fediverse".

He's seeing an explosion of new, open platforms for images, videos, podcasting and more.

Evan Prodromou is often called the "Father of the Fediverse". He's spent years building open platforms.

Why does he enjoy working on open platforms? Because he loves seeing what creative people can do when they're not locked into siloed, limited platforms.

It's that time of the year in the WordPress world.

The Halloween spam is out-and-about in your WordPress dashboard 🎃☠️🤦‍♀️

Evan Prodromou is often called "The father of the Fediverse". It's amazing how much overlap there is between the aims of WordPress and Fediverse. These two communities should work together more!

WordPress people should be using the Fediverse more, and Evan explains why:

PressConf 2025 was a big success. @raquelkarina.bsky.social has ideas for what could come next ...

Tickets are already available for PressConf 2026 ✅.

But what about Europe? Asia? Expanding beyond WordPress? 🤔
October 24, 2025 at 6:56 PM
We welcomed @raquelkarina.bsky.social on the PublishPress podcast and she explained how the finances work for an event like Press Conf. Where does the revenue come from? What are the costs? And where to plants fit into all of this? 🪴😲
October 23, 2025 at 6:03 PM
We were lucky to have @raquelkarina.bsky.social on the PublishPress podcast, telling the PressConf story.

PressConf is the best WordPress business conference but the talks are never recorded. Raquel explains why 👇

I'm noodling with this idea: a much better version of the Reusable Blocks screen.

Reusable Blocks could be such a 💯🚀 feature in WordPress, but they're hidden right now (they're not even normally called Reusable Blocks)
October 21, 2025 at 4:09 PM
We welcomed Than from @humanmade.com
and Zeshan from Green Street News on the PublishPress podcast.

They told us how they moved over 40,000 articles to their new WordPress site, using local LLMs to categorize all those new posts.
