A Winter Surprise. Blue jays were making a fuss this morning. I lifted the window shades to see an eastern screech owl resting on a yard fixture. I walked along the sidewalk taking photos and the bird followed me with its hearing despite having eyes closed.

Casey the Peregrine Falcon. This bird has frequented Casey and Smith Towers at SUNY Cortland since 2015. A student brought to my attention that a large bird was hanging out on the window ledge of her dorm.
