Our proposal is the most common sense logical boundary. It’ll be down to the govt ministers to decide if there isn’t a consensus with other councils. We need a quick decision once the proposals are submitted as any new structures will take some time to implement. But long term it’s worth the effort

This isn’t a Labour City land grab as touted by some opponents who want to persevere the status quo in their districts. It’s about what’s best for future generations, not what’s best for individual Cllrs who want to protect their own little piece of power. Change is needed.
