From the countryside of Wales, just outside Cardiff U.K.
Son of a coal miner (now deceased) who encouraged me to pursue education as much as possible. Think I’ve got a good idea of the problems we face. Not so arrogant as to know all the answers.
Wonder how the good citizens of Monaco feel about all these ‘migrants’ taking over their territory (tax exiles).

Brexit! Yeah, but we’ve taken back control 😂😂😂

Thank you. This kind of info/link is very useful in helping people understand the source/nature of there reading material. If they care 🤔😕

Thank you for your helpful reply. I believe that although owners have this right, there should also be an openness regarding ownership etc so the public are fully informed as to possible political bias and allegiance. The public may then judge the value of the news they provide? And why.

A very damaging media who supported Brexit/Farage/Liz Truss.. But what do we know about the Owners. The Editors ? Where’s the accountability/transparency ? Remember the Leveson Inquiry ? Suddenly blocked from continuing - in whose interests ?

I’ll finish by reiterating that I believe Zack to be a decent man. I also feel that Starmer is a decent man (and certainly not a liar). I believe that Zack should also see that, and empathise, realising that Zack could be in a similar situation one day. But I guess I’m politically naive.

Interesting. I don’t think anyone would recommend a person of that description knowing all the info/facts at our disposal now. But equally, there were many prominent people who applauded this decision with the info available at the time.

Ahh. I’m sorry, I think I understand you. But in a loose way it’s almost like saying H.R. depts (let’s assume McSweeny in this) are pointless, never to be-trusted on their decision making/recommendations.
February 8, 2026 at 5:53 PM
I think you’re right. But I believe that changes are fast coming with Starmer in charge. Change of leadership is time consuming ? and just achieves wild speculation and traps for possible successors.

Thank you for your response. Replies don’t seem to relate back to the original point. So I’m not sure if you’re referring to my comments on Zack Polanski, or my criticism of the media during the Brexit campaign who, in my opinion, printed false statements of support for bexit which were misleading.
February 8, 2026 at 5:11 PM
Be very careful what you encourage. If it becomes so simple, it can easily apply to anyone for any ‘implied’ mistake of judgement.
I quite like Zack, but he’s now beginning to lose his air of ‘empathy’ and joining the rest of the ‘hunting pack’.

You’re giving reform plenty of attention as well
February 5, 2026 at 4:54 PM
I guess the one positive take on this is that we’re unlikely to bump into Celia Walden if we’re in London.

A mention I made the other day. To lift a quote from the former P.M. Theresa May.
Reform UK are now the 'Nasty Party’.

To lift a quote from former P.M. Theresa May. Reform U.K. have now become the ‘Nasty Party’. (apologies for the misuse 🙂

Perhaps Kemi should be slightly relieved that the more ‘extreme’ of her party have gone. Is this a chance for the tories to modify their rhetoric in the hope of gathering the more moderate of there party ?

I’ve just read the breakdown on the BBC website referring to the video of the man killed, and got the clear idea from there writing that the nurse did not act in a manner causing sufficient threat to be shot.

I don’t know much about US law, but couldn’t these ICE people be apprehended for obstruction of rightful law ?
January 24, 2026 at 5:43 PM
I don’t know Hannah, Andy Burnham strikes me as a decent man, and an asset to the Labour Party. I’m bound to consider if all this ‘division’ has been generated by right wing influences to cause trouble.

A potential leader should be able to make decisions/proposals etc based on as much reality as possible. Farage strongly reassured the people of the uk that leaving the EU would be good for UK. It proved to be disastrous. It’s every one else’s fault of course!! He wants to be P.M. 😂😂
January 24, 2026 at 12:25 PM
Did Canada ask to join? Guess I missed that.
January 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM
Under Trump’s presidency what may seem irrational to most people is sadly a possibility. The BBC seem to be acknowledging that.
January 23, 2026 at 1:57 PM
Farage has already helped change Britain. Being instrumental in helping UK leave the EU - and it’s becoming more evident of the negative impact that’s had.
January 23, 2026 at 11:28 AM
All so predictable. Simply following Trump. I have this image of farage sitting on Trumps lap - “gottle of beer, gottle of beer” and we know where Trumps hand would be 😂😂
