Obviously, a lot more pics and places too! This is just tip of the iceberg. Can't recommend these two companion books highly enough now that I'm on my high horse, however. They are why I went to Prophetstown, Prophet's Rock, etc. Really important, greatly underappreciated confluence historical point

For now, quick #FlashbackFriday to my midwest trip last week where I grew up. Was an honor and a privilege to visit Abraham Lincoln's Tomb, the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe and Prophetstown State Park, the confluence of the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers and Lake Michigan, & my hometown Kenosha.

Back at it for the #TeslaTakedown Global Day of Action! This time, I brought my own sign. We ended things by marching through the mall and ending at the storefront itself, not just the mall entrance.

Was awesome! Also made new friends for the next round of action. La lucha sigue!

“If you talk the talk, walk the walk, come to Zucotti Park.” I’ll never forget the activists who showed up to a Left Forum panel I was on in 2012 telling people to get out into the streets and out of the Ivory Tower.

Another great day to go full speed ahead on the push to #BoycottTesla and get involved in the #TeslaTakeover movement
February 12, 2025 at 3:21 AM
Wow! In the last less than two months, $TSLA stock has dropped about $130/share, or 27%. And the #BoycottTesla hasn't even really begun yet. Get engaged in the #TeslaTakeover movement. Let's turn this into something big.

Over 5 years into the ongoing #pandemic, I'm still masking with a KN95, and here's more evidence as to why it's a great idea to continue to all you can to continue preventing spreading and contracting #COVID19

We have now lost the brain behind Twin Peaks, the musicians behind it, and one of the lead actors in Peggy Lipton. Momento Mori. Life is fragile. Appreciate every day you get.

Agreed. Let’s agree to ignore the sheisters and grifters and not turn this into X 2.0 please. Here’s my normie pic. Had a great fucking time at the movies tonight at half-off Tuesday at Angelika in San Diego. #Cinephiles unite!

The above refers to the OR citation of the WSPA slide deck added to the complaint in October. Forgot to attach an image of it. It can be seen here. Sorry for the error! Just one last chance to say it louder for those in the back: #WSPAKnew and here's what they did. #MakePollutersPay
November 20, 2024 at 12:00 AM
In total, since 2014, IRS documents point to $115M+ in grants/contributions granted to WSPA's front groups, led by $94.4M to Californians for Energy Independence. $41.3M of the total went toward advertising/marketing, not surprising given WSPA's blanketing of the airwaves/digital domain with ads.
November 19, 2024 at 11:54 PM
Rather than #ActOnClimate, WSPA deployed front groups oppposing implementing CA's landmark #climate law, figting local #fracking bans, opposing regulations to #MakePollutersPay to clean up their idle wells, and trying to derail consumer protections vs price gouging. These ads are a case in point.

My #COVID public health advocate peeps on here: I see you! Let’s keep the convo going. I moderate email list on #COVID19 education/info sharing & would love to have you if interested. Also have about 1000 people to add from X who showed interest & could use help. LMK if you want in to help or join!

To get a taste, check out this excerpt from the @desmog.bsky.social piece upon which it's based and do read both over the weekend. It's a great and seminal piece of investigation journalism.

More pics. Lot of good food, just blocks from the Pacific Ocean in Oceanside, the northernmost costal town in San Diego County.
