Just rewatched #civilwar and if anything it is even more likely now than it was last year. A great - yet harrowing- film of a far to possible near future. Great performances from the key actors too.

I have spent the entirety of the decade slowly plodding through #Endeavour and then #InspectorMorse until his tragic demise today. Great #TV & now I am bereft for the remainder of the decade.

Controversial opinion (given that a lot of people don’t like the film) - but I would argue that the first 13 minutes of #Marvel #BlackWidow is the best of film opening in the #mcu. Poignant and sets up the relationships for the rest of the film & #Thunderbolts too.

Just back from watching #fantasticfour #firststeps and it is terrific! With this & Thunderbolts #marvel #mcu is back on track!

Whilst I’m waiting to watch #thunderbolts I went back and watched two #Marvel films I had seen only once before. Black Widow was far better than I remember. Black Panther is a good superhero film, but still not convinced it was worth all the plaudits it got. Enjoyed both enormously though.

Beautiful day for a walk - and wildlife just sitting up to be seen everywhere. I genuinely think I have already seen more butterflies this year (when some trees are still not fully in leaf) than I got to see all of last summer. Dozens of Peacocks, Red admiral, orange tips etc.

Just watched what I consider to be one of the finest “road” #movies of all time. Hasn’t aged and the cast, script, music, big-picture shots and Ridley Scott’s direction are perfect. But watch on a BIG screen if possible.

It’s only taken me 32 years - but finally got to watch Tombstone from start to finish. Some great performances- Val Kilmer in particular.

Some excellent & diverse weekend viewing today. 2 episodes of @channel4tv.bsky.social “Patience” which is top draw (& Purvis is superb in title role) & dystopian but plausible “Civil War” on in which Dunst chalks up an excellent performance to extend her already lengthy film career even further.
