Looking forward to Christmas! Having an 18 month old really puts the delight back into the season, we are having great fun with the tree and particularly advent calendar.

Had a lovely time in Devon at Otter Falls cottage. Last day was particularly amazing, a very casual and natural zoo with bears and wolves. Emrys was a little ill, we think he had a mild allergic reaction, but he also enjoyed himself. Particularly playing with dogs, football and swings.

Got to Otter Falls - we have a super cute cottage for 2. Emrys is loving the croissants we had as part of a hamper, and all the geese and dogs to make friends with. He is not so much of a fan of the cot and heating here so he isn’t sleeping well 😭.

Been a long week visiting London, then Norwich, then Liverpool. Very glad to be on the way home and spending some time with Cat and Emrys. Missed them so much!

How are there so many people supporting Tommy Robinson? Did I miss something? And how is it ok for Musk to be encouraging them to ‘fight’ towards dissolving or changing the government?

Drew the short straw, and nursery have sent home ‘Rosie’ for the week for us to take on adventures and take photos. Emrys is supremely uninterested, every time I show him Rosie he throws her across the room. I am wondering if he knows something I don’t, maybe it’s cursed?

5 full days without Facebook. I don’t think I am missing it, although I am probably missing out on the odd friend update I would be interested in. Work is pretty hard at the moment so I treated myself to a couple of shots of peanut butter whisky. Emrys remains very ‘entertaining’ lol.

Day 1 with no Facebook. Found myself staring at phone to work out how to pass the time before starting work this morning. started being productive this evening - chopped apples ready for a crumble. My early school life signalled this rock and roll lifestyle - check out the drummer on the right.

Went to local wildlife park with Emrys. He made friends with a beautiful horse who bumped noses with him in a really cute way. Sadly no photos of that, but here is a very cute skunk.

Based on google telling me that brandy does mix with milk, I have had cheerful evening with home made rhubarb brandy and oat milk cocktails. It was not awful.

First proper Father’s Day with Emrys was lovely. He spoilt me with a bottle of Jack Daniel’s honey, pancakes and waffles with the Teagues, then Harvester with my dad and family. Cat was a trooper and stalwartly put up with talk about games and my family 😅

First couple of days back in work after paternal leave. It was harder than I remembered….. weekend with Emrys will put it right though.

2nd rhubarb harvest of the year. Likely to be making duplicate of rhubarb and vanilla rum liqueur as first one was pretty damn fine.

Today is my last day being the main daycare for Emrys. I am sad, although I know it’s best for him and me as he now needs the different experience of nursery. I have given myself a buffer and have a week of taking him to nursery/childcare before I actually go back to work, so that’s quite nice 😊.
