Considering Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil' holly rather than ambusa Multiplex Golden Goddess bamboo as a privacy screen and backdrop to the future plunge pool. Thoughts? The bamboo will grow taller but maybe be messier.

The blank slate. Hardscape first. 13 by 7 plunge pool w/fountain. Backed @ fence w/ Bambusa multiplex (Golden goddess) clumping bamboo. Stamped/stained patio surround. Then we get serious with planting!

The one and only pretty plant the builder provided seems to have endless looms. This is a Camellia. We are likely to use a dlfww more of these as we begin to deviate from the builder's plantings.
