Some still voting Republican are just deeply brainwashed to believe that it's the Democrats that want to destroy the country. I know one elderly person who is kind to others including minorities, but is unreachable after 30 years of Fox News.

That's something I've also thought about recently. Most farmers still think Trump is the best because it's never been about economics. It's about the culture war.
