Not necessarily a fair comparison to now though because literally the season before we'd won the double. The team had been at the top. We've been nowhere near to that though in recent seasons

I find it hard to believe something is genuinely independently managed when it is funded by such influential bodies that their livelihoods depend on & still don't see why they'd be singling us out over and over again
April 6, 2025 at 6:27 PM
But why would PGMOL want to do that? The bosses of the Premier League would prefer a competitive league title race so why would PGMOL go rogue and out of their way just to screw us over?

They'll have a steady supply of those who will shift right when they know the stuff is going to come out about them

In an odd way games like this frustrated me a bit. We took some pastings over the years from Utd, Chelsea & Liverpool & when we had the chance to take some revenge, like this one, we always took our foot off in 2nd half. Same when we led Utd & Chelsea 3v0 at HT

Imagine World War Z done this way rather than with all that voice talent it had

Surprised by that figure. 75% of Brits think that a non-white person born in Scotland/Wales/N.Ireland, can be just as English as other English people? I thought most Brits would consider them Welsh/Scottish/N.Irish first

Absolutely terrible first half. Played right into Utd hands. No pace in our play. And gave away a stupid needless goal
March 9, 2025 at 5:34 PM
But there should be at least one there to try though. Although more than that would be a bit of risk in losing the game and we still need to be careful looking over our shoulder. We're only 8 points ahead of 5th - not insurmountable if we remain on a bad run

Great result. Really thought we'd only get a draw at best today. Basically I thought the whole game would be like how we were in the first half, but thankfully Leciester didn't do enough and we made something happen in the second half
February 15, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Can something really be shocking if you already know that it's not uncommon?
February 14, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Draw wasn't a bad result and you'll be fine for the PL. Can't see us or Forest overhauling 7-10pts gap and Chelsea are 14pts behind. You won't need Slot in the
dugout to beat Wolves at home either

Not to mention Tierney is going in the summer, his heart isn't going to be in it and he's injury prone himself
February 11, 2025 at 8:01 PM
It is daft that they don't shoot that escape pod but to be fair it's not the first one to have launched and they didn't know they were looking for droids at that point

Dune is one of my favourite books but didn't particularly enjoy Messiah, Children or God Emperor (Dune Messiah was the worst for me). I didn't mind Heretics of Dune though

I'll give new Star Wars stuff a try but there's just one thing I want and that's a decent physical release of the unaltered original trilogy
February 6, 2025 at 9:59 PM
We're already into the second half of the season. Once we get knocked out of the UCL it's effectively over

Night of the Demon (1957). Some practical effects don't stand up anymore (not sure they even did at the time!) but atmospheric and foreboding
February 6, 2025 at 9:07 AM
League is gone, no way we're winning UCL and not playing in that for a while anyway, and we're out of the FA Cup. This semi-final was arguably our biggest fish of the season
February 5, 2025 at 10:24 PM
Great. So we get beat and go out with virtually a full strength side. Hopefully this doesn't shatter the confidence built up from the City game

The Mission - the score rather than a soundtrack of songs. Maybe A Life Less Ordinary from a song list perspective, although I really like that film, it wasn't that well received

I can't compare to recent ones to be honest as this is the first ple I've watched properly in a long time (due to Netflix). There was a good point with Cena, Punk, Reigns, Styles, Rollins and to lesser extent, Drew, Uso & Priest all at once but felt they didn't quite do enough with that opportunity

I found it a bit of a slog. Charlotte winning was predictable, so at least they mixed it up for the Mens'. Only two matches inbetween meant rumble spots were still fresh in my mind when the men repeated them. Too many kip-ups in the womens' & too many spears in the mens' - got stale quickly
