Episode 347 of David Crowther’s History of England podcast provides a very interesting survey of the Historiography of the “English Revolution.”

Although it is out of print and probably considered dated, I liked Volume VI of the Pelican History of England, “England in the Seventeenth Century”

I did not like The Blazing World. Missed key themes.
Christopher Hill book great but not a chron history.
New Model Army (Gentles) is terrific and very readable for mid 1840s on.
Best quick overview is season 1 of Revolutions podcast.
History of England podcast also very good but long.
