Why I (still) love Linux

I usually publish articles about how much I love the BSDs or illumos distributions, but today I want to talk about Linux (or, better, GNU/Linux) and why, despite everything, it still holds a place in my heart […]

Dear friends of the #bsdcafe
Exactly two years ago, on 20th July 2023, I made a post announcing a new project: The BSD Cafe.
It was an idea I had been thinking about for a while, but never had the courage to truly take on. Yet, in those days, I pushed past my doubts, finalized the last bits of […]

Dear friends of the BSD Cafe,

This idea has been in my mind since the very beginning of this adventure, almost two years ago. Over time, several people have suggested it. But until recently, I felt the timing just wasn’t right - for many reasons. Today, I believe it finally is.

So I’m happy to […]

I've decided to remove one of the two US CDN nodes. They’ve become more expensive and now come with bandwidth limits.
They were mainly serving BSD Cafe media and my blog posts, but having two wasn’t worth the extra cost, as it didn’t bring any real advantages.

A reflection on a cold late winter night.
When I look at my mother these days, I see the smile that once belonged to my grandmother, because my mother is now the same age my grandmother was when I was a child. I also see my grandfather's expressions and walk.
When I look at my father, I see my […]
