Instead of blanket bans or vague "use responsibly" guidelines, AI_d helps develop differentiated policies that explain *why* certain AI uses work or don't work for specific learning objectives.

This webinar is the first in a three-part series on Japan Studies.

Looking forward to the hands-on workshop portion where participants will test the tool with their own courses, and especially their feedback, which will help me refine it further!

I'll be sharing:
> Real examples from our Chair of East Asian Art History—but applicable across all disciplines
> A systematic framework that connects AI permissions to specific learning objectives
> A LLM-powered tool ('chatbot prompt') that helps educators create customized policies in minutes

With this, I present a concrete solution for the challenge many of us face: How do we help students navigate AI tools responsibly while maintaining academic integrity? Instead of simply banning or allowing AI, what if we created guidelines that actually enhance learning?

True! 📚📒📃

On that note, the interdisciplinarity of the conference is one of the reasons why it's so inspiring. Getting out of our echo chambers and hearing about systems used in other disciplines. Personally, can't wait to dig back in when I am back, and def. hop onto some of the ideas shared!

The 10min format was def. a challenge. Esp. when having to introduce other backgrounds necessary to understanding (in my case, early modern Japanese art) 😅
Would an option be a "sources and systems" handout (maybe digital), which could provide background info, links, etc?
