That’s a fair point about the visibility of the suffering. But I don’t agree with the murder of animals in general. Daily murder of an animal for an art installation seems particularly cruel. Art should be able to shock but never cause new suffering.

What a disappointingly written review. It seems in bad faith. And in a world of climate crisis, this reviewer asks for “more”, and suggests… perhaps butchering a reindeer? Daily? And the installations in the Turbine Hall don’t have to be overpowering, they can be personal too! Why not focus on that?

Some interesting additional insight from Gallifrey B regarding this - FiF has a very reliable track record, and due to the charitable status they now hold, there’s now extra legal protections in place for them that remove certain roadblocks. Which explains the combined timing of the announcements.

There’s a crisis of empathy when this kind of video receives so much hate, but I think the NYT could also look at its own reporting: when all hateful voices are reported as reasonable views, one day they will become the norm.
Not going back.
