Maybe it goes the other way: normal people can become wealthy but all the hard work, talent and luck in the world won't make you ultra-wealthy without a pathological need to hoard wealth.

I know what you mean. As I see it, the stars and stripes are going to be waving over a country of 300+ million and the most powerful military in the world for the foreseeable future, no matter what. I want decent people to be patriotic and take ownership of it, and make it a symbol for good.

I've been saying this for awhile. Nothing he says means anything but the media will breathlessly repeat every word, rarely commenting on how it contradicts obvious facts or what he said last week.

It drives me nuts seeing that stuff up here. The Tories have underfunded the military just as much as the Liberals. It's a Canada problem, not a partisan problem. This kind of blind opposition to the 'other' is straight out of the American far right playbook that got us into this mess.
