I believe The Swindle got console versions at launch back in the days? I'd like to imagine your current publisher would help you achieve that now as well as I actually have no clue why else you'd actually need them.

I'd be pretty surprised if this is still going to happen unless it's already printed as well.

Classifying King of Dragons and Knights of the Round as RPGs pretty much would have told enough of what to make of that as well.

Funnily enough I did not see (the press release, that is) because years ago, your glorious publisher decided to blacklist me and the entire team I work with on oour magazine for the crime of... actually wanting to review one of his games. Oh well.

Having just contributed my required poking for Henry (and looking forward to reviwing it, of course), I hope you will forgive me for poking about what's happening with codes for Is This Seat Taken on Switch?

I suspect that also depends on the outcome? Having someone say they like it despite usually not being into VNs clearly must feel great, but someone going straight to "this sucks because there's no action/gameplay" (I've seen such "reviews" for e.g. Steins;Gate) on the other hand...

To put an obvious example, handing somebody who hates reading a Visual Novel for a review surely most likely won't result in a something useful for anyone.

I respect that, though I find it problematic if reviews are written by people who show an active dislike to the source material or a genre. While they might provide an interesting second opion, I feel it's more suitable if the main review is done by someone who doesn't have negative preconceptions.

I'm curious, if I may: How do you feel about people reviewing your game while repeatedly claiming that Legacy is a crap movie, therefore showing they are not really that qualified to judge TRON-related things?

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind is apparently really good. Definitely has a lovely pixely look and as added bonus for people who still care about this, it also just got a non-FOMO physical release for PS5 & Switch as well.

I'd like to hope on Switch 2 it's running with 60 fps while Old Switch pretty surely will stick to 30, which would make quite a bit of difference imho.

Personally, I almost always stick to PS5/Xbox over Switch for multi-system releases whenever performance comes into play.

Only if technical performance doesn't matter at all. Which I assume what many Switch users actually feel about that because portable use is the only thing mattering to them.

I'd still prefer better framerates and so on.
May 27, 2025 at 9:59 AM
No, they are not. As also shown by Switch 2 releases that are actual codes in a box like Split Fiction or Civ 7.

Assuming I'd want to stick to a portable version (as in there's no PS5 version around, which in this case obviously there is) and actually play it, I would go for the one with better performance even, so that's still making sense.

Mittelkleiner Indieschuppen, wohlgemerkt.

The disc (or cart) is there so you can put a box on your shelf and to work as a dongle. Obviously not what we'd ideally want it to be, but still much better than a code-in-a-box or just no physical avilability at all.

I'll run a review pretty much instantly the moment you send me Behold the Kickmen: Revenge of the Ball for Switch 2.

You conducted the interview, helped making it possible for us to use it and provided the fotographs of Carol, that‘s plenty in my opinion.
