There is another way. In fact, I consume so much of it that my wife sometimes refers to me as a cereal killer.

Not to worry, it's prone to happen with unfamiliar languages. But for example going from Þórsmörk to 'Porsmork' which is then pronounced as "Poor smuck" is outright painful, esp because the original is not too difficult to pronounce (very similar to "Thor's mirk", also close to its literal meaning)

Please avoid using P instead of Þ when referring to Icelandic placenames. The correct way to transliterate Icelandic Þ/þ to English is to use Th/th (ie. "Thakgil") which is a fairly close match to the correct pronunciation.
