We watched it all of the way through last night. Out-charisma-ing Trump and out-messaging Pete? Yes, more of that, please.

That was a lovely half an hour!

As a mom to a high school senior who is putting all of his eggs in the UVA basket, PHEW. We were banking on her win and corrective action.

I’m pretty sure that all of my tender annuals are now officially toast. They had somehow made it through the previous cold nights… but I think yesterday’s 2.5 quarts of tomatoes are wrapping up the season. My weather station says 27.3°. 🥶

Yeah, calling Kaine’s number did no good yesterday. Couldn’t even leave a voicemail. 😒

Right before he turned in for the night because he’s getting up to go to work at his federal job in the morning, my husband (who has worked without pay since October 1st) said that your yes vote is utterly demoralizing. As your constituents, we are incredibly disappointed in your choice.
November 10, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Husband put in a comment there the other day… it’s really frustrating that there are no phone options (not even voicemail) today!

Senator Warner, tell Senator Kaine to turn his phone lines on - we want him to vote no, too! Thank you for protecting healthcare from this federal employee family.

None of his office lines are even allowing voicemails to be left. As his constituent who has no family income coming in because of this shutdown, I am *furious* that he’s caving.

Husband has worked 25 of the 27 business days since October 1. No paycheck… while McGuire is getting paid for not showing up to work.

Yeah, same here in Esmont. Somehow we haven’t frosted still, so I picked almost a quart of cherry tomatoes with the sunlight streaming on me through the bare trees. The wind in the last day or two made most of the leaves drop. It does feel weird out there.

My state and my public media. 💙💙💙 I’m also still updating VPM’s General Assembly results page this morning - holding out hope that those uncalled House of Delegates races might tip to a supermajority.

Same. I recently took a mending plate out of a scrap metal pile in the garage a family member was clearing out… because it’s never a bad idea to have a spare mending plate around.

I told that to my homeschooler in January. It’s painful. The number of sources he can consider reliable is decreasing by the day.

Les Schreiber did not prepare me for (gestures) this in AP Comparative Gov’t.

How many other universities will capitulate between now and the fall? Does he just take a gap year, or two? Will the new governor change anything? Will we still have income to even pay tuition in the fall? All of it is leaving him feeling very unmoored.

This. My 17yo is essay-polishing away from his only planned application to any university, due 11/1… to UVA. He needs to be close to home for medical reasons. He’s planned his dual enrollment around what UVA will accept. We don’t know what to do.

If you have success, please come explain the same to this guy.
