Do people read these? If you're reading this bio, let me know why. Actual Facts: Research Associate, PhD, geek, gamer.
People often talk about Limited Run games taking forever, still waiting on my Castlevania here. But I just recieved a Strictly limited order I forgot I made mid 2023. Had no updates since 2024 and had no notice I can find that it shipped.

Let's just all agree logistics since 2020, chaos.

If they're willing to make this and sell it for $100 then I have to believe they are willing to sell us a second screen when they roll out DS

I was exiting youtube and saw you went live, so I jumped on real quick to see where you were in Hollow Knight but instead, I swear I heard you explaining the difference between SAS and JMP...
I'm on vacation so I blacked out when I thought I heard work related words

My two favorite flavors and a macabre tie-in. I feel like this marketing is targeting me very specifically

Thinking of building a PC for the first time in a decade...
But, hey PC case makers, I'm old. I'm from when PCs sat under monitors or you turned them on with your toe...
I don't need to see in them. And I need drive bays still...
I've got physical media to rip...

I was the weird artsy kid. In the fine art classes. Some where in my junior high art classes I think we had to do a pop-up book from song lyrics.

I chose Sabbath's 'Hand of Doom'

RIP Ozzy

Also, feel like nowadays a pop up picture of a needle?
Probably land you in the principles office.

RIP
Pretty sure I knew all the lyrics to the first few Sabbath albums before I fully grasped the alphabet

Trying to get back into the swing of cooking more. Making a barbecue baked green bean casserole thing(??) tonight. Been making this for years and have never given it a proper name...

Mario Kart world is probably the first since 64 that has me really interested. I did not expect how lost I'd get just driving around and doing the challenges. Also did not expect like random encounters? All the sudden there is just a kart with the word target over it you have to hit with a shell

Why does MechCommander keep coming up and teasing me. This is probably top on my list of game series that need to return. And I need the first game playable on modern PCs.

Finally went through Bloodborne, all optional bosses (not all chalice dungeons) all DLC...

My god...

Totally get it now.

Masterpiece.

Really! While I had already played Battletech games, Mechwarrior 2, and specifically the Ghost Bear Legacy Expansion, is probably what got me hooked.

Now, what's going on with those MechCommander rights? I have such a hard time getting that first one to run on modern hardware.
MASSIVE NEWS FOR MECHWARRIOR 2 fans: The rights situation has been resolved since Microsoft acquired Activision and they’ve just released the PS1 version of Mechwarrior 2 as part of the Retro Classics bundle. Hopefully this means a proper PC version release on @gog.com

You can not deny the fan service going on with MTGxFinalFantasy. I've dabbled since the beginning but was always a bigger Dragon Quest (Warrior back then) fan. But I want to grab some of these. Hoping Wizards doesn't underprint the commander decks.

At this point, to start catching up on my backlog just of recent games like Expedition 33, the Blue Prince, Doom and more, I'm going to have to break out some spreadsheets and time management tools.
May 16, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Started Clair Obscur Expedition 33 since I don't want any accidental spoilers. The story sets out to grab you, doesn't it.
Some of the best story I have seen in years, and I'm barely into it.
I am in the middle of 2 other very different games, which I think is slowing my grasp of all the mechanics

Legitimately thought I was watching a Bloodborne 2 trailer for most of it
soooo, makes sense to be a new name but this is essentially Bloodborne 2 in spirit right?

Ah, winter weather in northeast ohio...
Didn't even go to the gym and my watch tells me I have over 40 minutes of aerobic exercise before 9 am.

I haven't built a new PC in quite a while..
I'm getting ideas...
If someone tells me there's a modern monitor that looks like a CRT I'm screwed

I will never spell the word coalesce right the first time. For reasons I do not understand, my brain does not seem to register it as a real word.
Does not matter how many times it ends up in my code.
