Talirico, on the other hand, I think has better potential to appeal to a large enough slice of those kind of voters. If she wins the primary I hope she proves me wrong.

She seems like too much of an establishment Dem to me policy wise and highly partisan. I worry that she won't be appealing to enough of the people who voted for Ted Cruz in 2024, some of whose votes she absolutely needs and dismissed needing when asked how she plans to get some of them on her side.

As JVL pointed out in his newsletter yesterday, after we put in the hard work to fight back and are (hopefully) successful in defeating Trumpism and America First authoritarianism, the anti-alarmists are going to gaslight us and say "see, I was right all along, your alarmism was unwarranted".

Is there a way for blue states to band together and create some sort of blue state congress, each state sending representatives, that can pass new laws and taxes, applicable to the blue states, to replace the federal government's role and funding here and elsewhere?

Their claim on 1150% or so increase in assaults, which they've used to justify the masks, is also bs based on what they are classifying as assaults (as you point out, they are the ones doing the assaults and then crying victim or classifying people filming them as an assault).

Wal-Mart paid for part of my college. I was treated well. They gave me a rather unexpected indepence in setting some of their prices and leeway in the electronics department. I think you are mistaken about them being over the line. Maybe things have changed since I worked for them from 2003-2005.

Not to mention Australia's number of mass shootings in 2025 is 2 compared to almost 400 in the US. Being 1/10th the US population, the US has had ~20x on a comparative basis.

The court order did not say the ASL interpreter has to be in the same room as him. The plaintiffs argued that the interpreter could do it remotely and have them included on the feed when the president gives a speech and the judge agreed that they need to at least do that. Trump still refuses.

About 15 years ago I would occasionally lurk the Stormfront forums out of morbid curiousity of what the vile racists were discussing in public. Pretty much everything they were saying have now become mainstream talking points in MAGA, and parroted by the richest man in the world.

It goes beyond that. They abhor the institutions, the constitution, and the American way of life. They crave a blood and soil dictatorship and these all stand in their way.
