Some much-needed rain is on the way to Green Country, with the large majority coming Thursday.

Some locally heavy rains are expected Thursday and we may have a few strong to severe storms to tangle with as well. #okwx

Our long dry stretch is about to come to an end! Widespread rains expected Thursday, some heavy with a few embedded stronger storms possible.

Some other good news: It looks like we'll squeeze in a great fall weekend in-between our late week storm system and another rain-maker early next week. #okwx

We experienced all four seasons over the past week!

And Saturday's record-smashing high of 87° was tied for our 4th warmest November high on record in Tulsa. 🥵 #okwx

Unseasonably warm weather Saturday in Tuscaloosa for OU's big game against Alabama, with sunshine and warm weather prevailing.

Not much of a November chill in the air in Tulsa Saturday for TU's game against Oregon State!

Mild temperatures for mid-late morning tailgating before temperatures warm up quickly during the game. 🌀 #okwx

It's springlike weather in November for Saturday's college football games.

A mild morning in Stillwater for tailgating with temperatures warming up quickly towards the 11 AM kickoff and through the game. #okwx

The calendar says November, but the temperatures look and feel more like May! We're forecasting record high temperatures both Friday and Saturday.

We're looking towards the middle of next week for cooler (and hopefully wetter) weather to return. #okwx

Here's a look at the huge backup where cars are stuck on the eastbound Turner Turnpike just east of Bristow.
November 13, 2025 at 2:26 PM
🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT on the Turner Turnpike: Eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike are CLOSED at mile marker 199 near Bristow due to a semi crash. This will likely continue through morning rush hour, if not longer.

The detour will be to use SH-48 to Route 66 to get back to the turnpike near Heyburn.

Views like this don't come around often in eastern Oklahoma!

Still marveling over last night's incredible Aurora Borealis display. The sky is pretty freakin' cool.

Excuse the really crappy photo from my old iPhone:

But the fact that I could see the Aurora Borealis in Tulsa with the naked eye is incredible. Wow.

What a cool sight!

We caught a glimpse of the flyover over downtown Tulsa (I believe the Warbirds) during the Veterans Day parade! 🛩️

The warm-up is underway on this windy Veterans Day!

To every man and woman who has served our country: Thank you.

Some beautiful colors in the sky on this Veterans Day morning!

THANK YOU to all of our amazing veterans here in Green Country and across the United States who have served our country.

Keep the jacket on hand tomorrow if you're going to the Tulsa or Claremore Veterans Day parades!

The temperatures will be warmer than today, but strong south winds will still keep a chill in the air. #okwx
November 10, 2025 at 11:17 PM
This cold snap won't last long! South winds kick back in Tuesday with a big thaw for Veterans Day and beyond. ☀️

We're eyeing a stronger storm system later this weekend. The exact timing is still up in the air, but it looks like some rain and storm chances return by Sunday. #okwx

🥶 BRRRRRRRR. The barn door was left wide open this morning! This was a killing freeze across much of the viewing area that ends the growing season. Foraker and Vinita dropped down to 19°!

In Tulsa, this was our coldest morning since way back on February 22nd! #okwx
