Just making it up as I go.
I know I am getting old when I pay attention to a Metamucil commercial.

Mission Impossible opens with a flashback, "best of," show the stars, the cameos, highlight reel, and the deaths. Boooo. Boooo! Boo to this self-aggrandizing slop. One thing is, when Tom Cruise dies, the Academy already a tribute reel ready for the Oscar's show.

For the college football championship, there should be eight 16-team conferences, and the conference championship is the beginning of the playoffs. No at-large bids.

Each conference has two divisions, 7 games. 2 games against the other division. 3 non-conference games.

Scheduled Happiness, e.g. holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, creates the expectation of happiness, and expectations verses reality is the source of disappointment, or worse.

Mitigate your expectations.

Besides, happiness is a choice, an attitude, and not a result, nor a destination.

Humans are defined by the obstacles they perceive as in front on them. Humans must surmount obstacles. Even to their doom, which they cannot perceive.

One day, there will be millions of A.I. products, and companies will interview them to discern what skill set they have, to decide which to purchase, and then train.

Contemporary Preppy: A superficially appealing image is incongruent with friendly yet condescending behavior.

Tripping when making a tackle should not be a penalty. I can trip you with my hand and not with my feet? Ridiculous.

Me thinks "enshitification" should be defined something like: when the cumulative effect of a management/business model results in decreasing satisfaction/sustainability.

It doesn't just happen, those in charge make it happen. It shits itself.

"How's your phone treatin' you tonight?"

To help break the ice at a bar or club. You're welcome.

Did you hear that Major League Baseball is going to rename errors to "player hallucinations?"

Calling A.I. errors hallucinations is a marketing ploy, and ALL media should be calling A.I. errors errors.

John Candy: I Like Me.
A documentary film.

Main takeaway: self-care is important.

John Candy was, without a doubt, a very generous and kind person.

Possible unintended irony in the name "I Like Me."

The U.S. government having stakes in businesses, which Trump is doing, is very dangerous.

When government and business are intertwined (e.g. China, Russia), they become inherently more aggressive and potentially violent. The success of a business becomes directly tied to the success of the country

The headline says,"Can Left and Right Understand the Other Side’s Fears?" The point is missed. The point is to not have fears and certainly not to act on them.

Guy next to me #AtTheBar stepped away and left his phone on the bar, phone still on and with a text thread open. If I was supposed to read that, I didn't read that.

The future of jobs for humans, and thus education, is not STEM, because A.I. products will be good at STEM, which has fixed rules. Yes, there will always be a place for humans in STEM, to monitor what A.I. products are doing and to guide research. There will be fewer STEM jobs for people.

Eventually, there are going to be millions and millions of A.I. products available, and companies will interview them looking for a fundamental set of attributes and skills, and then acquire one they can then train do more. Just like how people are now hired.

First Amendment rights ignored on the basis of "the employer made a business decision." And who, exactly, bullies the employers? Nobody wants the hassle and legal expense of challenging Trump.

AI generated content will eventually be a flood of the same crap as the worst of message boards and chat threads, where goofs post ridiculous and silly things because they are goofs.

Indeed. Politics is all about the distraction topics, because they don't want to talk about what government really does: who gets the money.
They want us fighting so we never notice who is stealing from us all. Don’t get lost in the circus.
