It's more so people trying to sell AI slop, not actual engineers, who are positive about it. I'm an engineer and I find LLMs occasionally useful, but certainly not revolutionary. Definitely not worth the cost it takes to build and operate them

And the worst part is that they spent money to tear it up, have left an ugly useless mess for a year, and now are going to just put back what was there (worthless)

Your point is well taken, but I'm glad they're leaving and I wish they'd stop operating altogether. They were a terrible company even before we knew what fossil fuels did. Continuing to make concessions to these worms is a losing prospect

I'd be interested to see who is betting regularly and/or a non-trivial amount. The poll doesn't differentiate between people who bet $10 at a Super Bowl party and people who make deranged parlays every week.
