Cancer is the top killer of dogs. Check out my story about a Seattle-based nonprofit run by a retired DARPA exec, that is funding research into immunotherapy that could extend the lives of dogs with cancer, for a lot less money than current treatments.
Early results show a new immunotherapy vaccine is helping dogs survive longer with certain types of cancer. A Seattle-based nonprofit is raising money to keep that research going and to spread the word to the city's dog-loving community.

So far, the vaccine has been given to 600 dogs at 11 clinics across the U.S., including two in Washington state.
