So my latest story has been published. It's called "Ordinal Unknown", and it is the third story in the second movement of my story mosaic Retcon (the twelfth story overall, of a projected 27). You can find it at my web site (shorturl.at/VlxLt) & all the usual places. Check it out!

The first passage is from Stanislaw Lem's brilliant novel The Cyberiad (as translated by Michael Kandel); the second is me with ChatGPT.

But even more impressive is the story Moore did for Tomorrow Stories #2, where over eight pages he told a story *all* in building cutouts, moving through each of four floors, where each floor represented a different decade. Here's the opening page:

I really love this one from Alan Moore & J. H. Williams III Promethea, the top 2/3 of the two-page layout:

I think about this tweet* from @gerrycanavan.bsky.social all the fucking time. If you gloss over the second line (a non trivial alteration but I think a defensible one), he's so far spot on.—Alas.

I am currently publishing a mosaic story—a series of short stories (a projected 27 in total) which, read together, make up one big story. It's divided into three subsections, which I am calling "movements". And the first story of the second movement is now out! Here's a picture of the cover.
