My 97-year-old father-in-law insisted we plant kohlrabi in the garden. Here it is as ham and mushroom pizza with baked kohlrabi as the "crust." Actually, quite delicious!

A birthday breakfast fit for a king. I call it Jambalaya Plus, because I add a few additional ingredients: black beans, tomatoes and okra. I forgot the shrimp today but it's one of those one pot meals where you empty the refrigerator of close to date produce.

Well ... on the ice-covered grocery store parking lot I dropped only one bag, the bag with 2 doz #eggs. I cracked 5. Was able to salvage 4 of them for an omelet and scrambled eggs for my spouse.

Well ... it's been a very long time since I've burned a #cheese sandwich black. Fortunately, I was #cooking for myself. A little scraping with a butter knife and 2 dill pickles and it was #delicious ... well at least nutritious.

The last time I served 2 lbs of Italian meatballs to my 4 grandchildren, they consumed them like locusts on a wheat field. Today I upped my Italian granny game and made 3 lbs. 51 meatballs! I had leftovers.
