My favourite finding linked to "individual person-hood". The footprints of a small person alongside Langebaan lagoon dating back 117 000 years. Popularly called "Eve's Footprint" but honestly just as impressive even if he or she went by another name!

Seeing as most of the archeology posts are northern hemisphere. Here is some San rock art from likely between 2000 and 1600 years before present. The polychrome image of antelope (mostly Eland) from Eland cave in South African Drakensberg. The picture is not mine, but from Aron Mazel - ref below!
