You won’t like anything I post here and I’m sorry for that.

My latest @dailymail.co.uk column is on how ideology, whether Net Zero fundamentalism or anti-nuclear dogmatism, is a threat to our energy security.

Sometimes you write a column then think: ‘Was I too harsh?’

This isn’t one of those. John Swinney’s independence white paper deserves every ounce of disdain being heaped upon its banal, flaccid, intellectually moribund contents.

Louis Theroux’s “The Settlers” is an extraordinarily incurious film. It doesn’t engage with settlers beyond a handful of the most extreme. It’s a documentary unwilling or uninterested in documenting its subjects.

I’ve written about it for @jewishchron.bsky.social.

‘… then when Rachel found out Ross had slept with Chloe, she accused him of cheating, but Rachel had previously proposed a break, in frustration at Ross’s paranoia over her relationship with Mark, and Ross had agreed, and so they were absolutely, definitively on a break.’

John Swinney gets asked: ‘Are transwomen women?’

It does not go well.
