I’m embarrassed for them. If they had a shred of dignity, they would just call the election already. Get on with it.

To be clear, there is no tax cut. Taxes still go up 1.64%. Less than planned, but still an increase. Paid for in part by Calgarians who rely on transit, since fares are going up. A family with 1 adult and 1 high school student who take transit will pay $156 more per year for monthly passes.

And the fact that the Liberals agreed to give her this “win” the day before the UCP Convention is wildly infuriating.

Looking forward to a clear update on the impact for taxpayers of the potential loss of funds via the housing accelerator fund, due to repeal of rezoning. Are we on the hook for anything already spent by the City? And if so, what is the specific impact on tax rates? Time for transparency.

@calgary.ca is there a reason Calgary Transit doesn’t push timely updates like this via BlueSky?

I can’t believe we are *still* paying this guy’s salary.

Hey @jeromyyyc.bsky.social! Care to comment on how fining homeless people for throwing their cigarette butts on the ground actually gets to the root of the problem? Can we expect the same level of enforcement out side the Saddledome after the game tonight? @calgarypolice.bsky.social

Yakiwchuk ranks an Olympic style event as one his highest priorities, and the Green Line lowest? But wants to cut taxes. Can’t make this stuff up.

So when Sally doesn’t win first place, her shitty parents can demand that the board inspect the winner’s genitals? Do I have that right?

The woman then asked Smith to negotiate with United States President Donald Trump to create an asylum system for people like her.”Hard-working Albertans who are Christian, who believe in the nuclear family, who are patriotic and don't have any faith in any of the governments," she said…

Speaking of mealy mouthed, CBC sanitized the original version of this story to remove repugnant quotes from the rally. From the original CP story:

"This has to be stopped," she said. "We're not vetting these people, they're harming our children, and it's putting a real damage on our environment."
August 29, 2025 at 7:52 PM
CBC posted a modified version of the story, redacting several of the vile quotes included in the original story. For the life of me, I can’t understand why. The quotes are repugnant, and the story shouldn’t be sanitized.

Shame on Heritage Park for allowing their organization to be used as a backdrop for this nonsense.

I’m new to the riding after boundary changes effective April 2024, and we have yet to hear from the new MP. In fact, still received mailbox flyers from the incorrect MP until just last month. Heads up that many voters (including progressives) near 32 Ave don’t realize they are now in your riding.

Every day is a new low with the UCP. And that’s saying a lot, lately.
