Made it the Silver Rank tonight! Seeing a lot of Creature Life Gain, Blue Mono Control, Gruul Trample, and saw the Mouse deck for the first time, but I think I held my own. Sac Stax, good first night!

Comforting my Sheltie from July 4th fireworks and developing a Standard Deck (haven’t played since Raffine’s Conniving). Going for Blood Artist-type effects/values, rather than full on discard-based strategies (some, but not the main feature).

Rikku is probably the most restricted of the party (mono blue and counter moving), but I would just give her the FFX gameplay she has: Blue Theft. Why stop at counters when you can just the whole permanent with it? A little Control as well, but not as severe as Lulu will be.

Stern is a great adjective for Lulu: Blue Control and emphasizing the stun/profilerate effects she says. I played the Duskmourn Enchantment Precon, which has the "can't remove Stun counters" creature, and probably a little wizard tribal for card draw (and the "tapped creatures have hexproof" ench.).

Auron will be another Voltron build, but due to his exiling effect, he will be much more of a Control/Stax build. I built Shay Cormac (Assassin's Creed) to be Black/White Control and will probably be pulling similar cards for Auron here.

Wakka wants to help the team out? He'll be the only one making tokens and going wide. He can take advantage of token and counter multipliers, while I'm thinking the cyclers that give specific counters can help trigger his captain effect consistently.

I'm most excited about Kimahri after seeing him on YouTube gameplays: Simic Voltron, with the Simic flavor being Nonlegendary copies of him (Vesuvian Duplimancy, Spark Double, Progenitor Mimic come to mind). Kimahri will just adapt to what the pod is playing and take advantage of it all.

Yuna is a grand summoner and is the grand project of the party: +1/+1 Counters Aristocrats. Artifacts and Enchantments will substitute the usual black sources for sacrifice, but she sees "permanents" hit the graveyard, so Sagas are gonna be fueling her effects.

Among other Commander projects, I'm diving into Final Fantasy X: Probably going to build a commander deck for each of the party members (Tidus is covered with the Precon). While they are all counter-based, I each can still get its own spotlight and flavor (within the Bant colors they have):

My Aetherdrift purchases have arrived! Yes, buy singles, I understand...but I just like opening packs (old, expensive habits die hard). Can't wait to see what I get!

Just checked my commander decks on Archidekt: Vast majority at 1 or 2 (I mainly make casual decks for the school club I run, good sign), but some of the decks (noticeably higher powered in play) still list as 1 or 2. Could be Game Changer amounts, but theory vs. reality collide (posting commanders).
