Things need to change. War and violence need to stop. Kind and sensitive men need to be validated. I don't know of easy solutions. It's so hard to create societal change. But the world desperately needs more kindness. More loving men.

I think a lot of men are hurting and falling through the cracks of society. Without a support system, it's so easy to fall down the rabbit hole of the manosphere or incel ideology. These groups are insidious. They feed on the pain men feel, and give them a false target for their frustration.

Olmar is also an interesting character. He struggles under the weight of what it means to be a "man". Sensitive like his father. Can't bring himself to kill. Then there's everything with Thorfinn and PTSD. Vinland Saga S2 perfectly captures why toxic masculinity is so harmful.

Ketil can only be open with a woman. This is one reason why there's a male loneliness epidemic. Because men can't be vulnerable with each other. Men are taught that emotional expression and asking for help signifies weakness. Sensitivity is shamed.
