It's been a great week.
Read at an Arts Festival.
Finally cracked hole-y bread. The secret turned out to be hydration and to do as little as possible with the dough
Made a rather one sided friendship with a crow and got the badly scarred worktops sanded down and oiled.

Normality has resumed. Turns out there's a word for the earthy smell after a shower of rain. Petrichor, derived from the old Greek words for stone and blood. Something we haven't smelt in my part of Galway nearly three weeks. The spud box will certainly appreciate it.

Grape hyacinths getting a visit. Amazing what can be achieved with less than a million neurons. Complex sensoria, emotions, the ability to learn and communicate.

Puts insatiable energy guzzling LLMs and their overpriced hardware to shame.

Six magpies outside my window this morning. Six for gold or Hell depending which version of the old rhyme you gravitate towards. The boiler packed up this morning so I'm inclined towards the latter.

Not ready for the depressing trudge out to the garage with the decos, so spent the morning trying to get sharper images with the camera. Light is everything.

I was thinking of an old childhood rhyme this morning and the excitement of waking up to a snow covered garden

The north wind doth blow,
And we shall have snow,
And what will the robin do then, Poor thing?
He'll sit in a barn,
And keep himself warm,
And hide his head under his wing, Poor thing!
