Twiggy Voo?
Part of Winston Churchill's 'Resistance', Marie Lloyd is also invited to the country house party. Knowing they want her to sing in French - she's determined to refuse. Vive la révolution, oops, long live the revolution!

New novel Twiggy Voo? features a variety of real life cast of characters. Including a younger Winston Churchill & his wife Clemmie, plus the muscleman Monte Saldo, the latter becoming the personal trainer to Winston for 'reasons' 😅

And now for something completely different. Perfect for Christmas, an alt history laced with humour and a number of dead bodies. This is Napoleonic Britain 1913.

Thank you for tonight's admittance!

Recent folk horror release Harrowfield is available to read on KU (but won't be forever!) & can be bought here mybook.to/Harrowfield

Harrowfield has secrets & a Terrible Truth but whether it's what people want to hear is another thing.

Just finished the first book off my book tower from World FantasyCon: The Stones of Landane by @catcavendish.bsky.social. Loved it & would recommend if you'd like a spooky story set in a small village surrounded by standing stones. (yes, I know the real life equivalent, favourite part of the world.)
November 4, 2025 at 8:41 PM
A few pics from World FantasyCon - and what a book tower I came home with (including a diversion to Waterstones round the corner from my travelodge 😅). So pleased to finally meet @leemurraywriter.bsky.social in the flesh, talk to @datlow.bsky.social, & catch @davebjeffery.bsky.social amongst others!

The past few days, I've been working on a picture of Tommy from The Five Turns World. The result is image top left - my own work, from paper to digital. The other images are me playing with filters to see effects. I have a plan which will probably take all months ... 😅

Bucket list band ticked off. Disturbed last night at AO in Manchester (Megadeth support). Great gig. Photos courtesy of eldest (her camera is better than mine so she is usually nominated photographer 😅) \m/

Thank you, Mary. Really enjoyed this week, actually I enjoy every week!

Following horse and barge this morning alongside Llangollen canal. Made a peaceful morning seem more so.

Happy Book Birthday @coyhall.bsky.social This World of Vile Wonder!

Delighted to be part of this anthology.

The two author copies I splashed out on for Harrowfield and Twiggy Voo? arrived today. Both are 5x8 and most def. formatted and uploaded at that size. Noticed these two have just shy of 0.5 cm difference in height (ie Harrowfield is shorter than should be). Anyone else get these discrepancies?

I'm proud of everything I've written & now here's something different: Twiggy Voo?

There are doubles, mistaken identities, humour & a touch of farce in this alt history. I had so much fun writing this, blending fact with fiction & making myself laugh.

Finished @erynmccee.bsky.social 's The Woman in White. Emotive and poignant ghost story very much highlighting historic traumas of women and the failure of the establishment to recognise such (then and, to an extent, now, despite public rhetoric - justice does not prevail).

Highly recommend.

Thanks for allowing me to expose the chip on my shoulder this week!
Folk horror, Harrowfield, is actually driven by an initial decision taken for financial stability. A decision leading to an isolated village & a community with old beliefs & strange stories.

This anthology came out under the radar this year but am remedying that. I came into the project to help get it out and this most certainly wouldn't have been achieved without the work of Noel Osualdini & Dan Franklin. A proper team effort. www.amazon.com/Monster-Bone...

Harrowfield is a tiny village in the Marches, that wild strip of borderland between England and Wales.

When Derwenna Parry’s brother goes missing whilst surveying farmland, she and his daughters head to the village to track him down. And now Midsummer approaches ...

Thanks, Gabino. My quiet folk horror, Harrowfield came out recently. #FridayReads

The pagan v the occult compete for newcomer to Harrowfield, Derwenna Parry, in the isolated borderline between Wales and England.

Comparison between last year (right), this year (left). Still a lot going on behind the scenes, much of which should be out in 2026 (& even beyond) & some things are on submission.

(Twiggy Voo - my NOT horror novel - is out but not being actively promoted just yet, because it's not Christmas 😅)

Folk horror, Harrowfield was released 1st Oct.
The present remains bound to a past w here both pagan and occult interests compete for newcomer, Deri.

Thanks for hosting, Gree!
My recent release is Harrowfield, a quiet folk horror set in the England/Wales border land known as the Marches.

The past is still very much in the present.

October is the month to read folk horror of the quiet kind.

Harrowfield isn't just available to purchase via mybook.to/Harrowfield, it's also on Kindle Unlimited. And if you've read it, I'd love it if you leave a review. ❤

Thank you, everyone, for the support yesterday with the release of Harrowfield. As an indie writer it is appreciated. ❤

My quiet folk horror builds around rural traditions, too many of which are lost today. It's an aspect I prefer to champion in my writing, the events driven by the rural

Thanks, Eryn, for such great questions, they truly spoke to me.

My quiet folk horror, Harrowfield, is out today. The MC Deri is turning 55 as she finds herself in the middle of the battle between conflicting beliefs in remote Harrowfield.
