So this past fall semester, I wrapped up my tenth year of teaching for the School of Architecture at Miami University’s study abroad center in Luxembourg. It’s been an incredible journey!

Many climate activists protest things such as flying, but the airline industry only produces 2% of global emissions. Compare that to the 37% coming from the building industry. Concrete production alone is 7-8%. Changing how we build can have a huge impact.

Yes, that was still a thing along with some crazy obstacles like this one which fortunately would never be allowed these days. Even back then many protested it. I should have listened and ridden around it like they did. Miracle that I wasn’t hurt outside of some good bruises.

Some nice memories of my first wins here in Germany with my Dutch mare Gracia. She passed away at the age of 24, and I still miss her.
