Hello! "Scribofelidae" else-Web. Writer, stationary stan, cat wrangler, pizza freak. Work in Podcastle 🏰, Shimmer ✨, GigaNotoSaurus 🦕 and Nature 🌎! SWFA Associate, CODEX, VP alum, Taos Toolbox, & TWS.
I know, intellectually, I am making progress on the move back to Ontario but EVERYTHING IS CHAOS right now.

Which feels like the process for every story I've written -- though at least with a story, I can close the laptop.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

That feeling when you find a duplicate book and you've already packed the one with the ugly cover but you're still want to keep the nice cover so you decide to deal with it four provinces away from now. 😭

Can someone develop a time machine, then go back to each time I'm in a bookstore to screech, "STEPHANIE YOU WILL HAVE TO MOVE EACH OF THESE BOOKS ONE DAY!? Think about Future You!"

Who is currently surrounded by boxes. 😭😭😭

This timeline, I suppose it's theoretically possible.

The problem with really good coffee strait from your French Press is that it can convince your body it doesn't need breakfast.

"problem" 😌

Is it funny or telling that while looking at a book on witchcraft, the bookselling website algorithmically offers up a book on burnout?

Asking for a friend.

Yes still in the *checks notes* novelette though we're likely to tip over that when I type in all my long hand notes.

Serious question:

Because I can, I'm doing a complete watch/binge of the entire rebooted [BLANK] OF THE APES movies, and wow, they did Caesar *so dirty* - even the people that "loved" him. Especially those that loved him.

If you get on the back entrance of the bus, you suck. Full stop, no excuses. I see kids do it, I see adults, I see little grannies do it to beat each other to a seat. Translink remove the back pass already--this is transportation anarchy. 😂

Wrestling with Google Docs is not how I wanted to start this writing session, but here we are.

Meanwhile later, it's a doored cabinet assembly and then, THEN, the moving of my entire tarot/oracle collection into its new home followed by the reorganization of at least two bookshelves. OH BABY. 😍

Severance is by far my favorite SF. By miles, by lightyears.

Surreal, absurd, existential, corporate dystopian hell that, most importantly--no matter what happens--has no chance at a happy ending because there are no good choices.

Which makes it feel true in ways a lot of media doesn't.

Watching ODDITY, and it's delightful -- spooky, weird, but also at times hilarious with these dry one liners.

Also looking forward to watching some spectacular supernatural avenging to follow. 🍿

My TBR doesn't need inspiration, IT NEEDS AN INTERVENTION.

Either way, BONK, bad company! 🤣
