We thank the outgoing team, editorial board members, reviewers, and authors, whose collective efforts have shaped the journal into a vibrant hub for media psychology scholarship, and look forward to an inspiring and productive four-year term.

Digital platforms and polarization, environmental crises and media trust, smartphones and mental health: We argue that research in media psych addresses some of the most pressing societal issues and can give answers in complicated times like these and we see the journal as a scholarly forum for this

3️⃣ We aim to situate the journal as a leader in debates on the role of media in human behavior and society — including work on new and newsworthy media but also more general theoretical approaches that will outlast the current media Zeitgeist.

2️⃣ We strive for more inclusivity in terms of research and author teams from diverse global regions and traditionally underrepresented institutions.

1️⃣ We continue to prioritize a strong theory orientation and transparency in empirical research (e.g., with pre-registered reports).
